The Wirless Multipoint Meatprobe has four measuring points for maximum precision. When preparing smaller pieces of meat or fish, make sure to insert it at least up to the safety marking on the needle. For an accurate reading, your food thermometer should reach the thickest centre part of the meat without the tip being visible from the outside. You can find temperature recommendations for various foods in the NEFF Home Connect app.

Still have questions? Check out our frequently asked questions.
How do I clean the food thermometer easily?
The probe can be easily cleaned with some soapy water or placed in the dishwasher- be sure to let it cool down first! The charger should only be wiped lightly with a damp cloth.
What temperature can the food thermometer handle?
The temperature below the safety mark should not exceed 100°C. Above the safety mark, up to the handle, the maximum temperature should not exceed 300°C.
What is the range of the food thermometer's wireless communication?
The distance between the probe and the range extender should be less than 10m in line of sight. Between the range extender and the app, it should be less than 50m in line of sight. Objects such as walls or barriers significantly reduce this distance.
How many food thermometers can be used in the app at the same time?
It is possible to connect up to 4 range extenders to the app. 2 probes can be used per range extender.
Can I use the food thermometer for sous-vide cooking?
Yes, simply insert the food thermometer into the food shortly before cooking and vacuum seal it.
Can I use the food thermometer in the microwave?
No, the microwave and Bluetooth use the same frequency band. The high power in microwave operation will damage the probe.
Can I use the food thermometer in an oven with microwave function if I use a regular heating mode like top/bottom heat?
No, the door of a microwave oven prevents communication between the probe and the range extender as the microwave and Bluetooth use the same frequency band.
How long do I need to charge the food thermometer to be able to use it?
The first time you use it, both the probe and the range extender must be charged for at least 8 hours. After that, 5 hours are enough for a full charge. A charge of around 2 hours is enough for around 2 hours of operation.
How does the app communicate with the probe?
The probe communicates via Bluetooth with the range extender, which also connects to the app. There is no direct communication between the probe and the app.
Does the wireless meat probe automatically go into standby mode when not in use?
Both the probe and the charging station/range extender send signals until the battery is depleted or the probe(s) is/are placed in the charging station. If the charging station does not receive a signal from a probe for more than 15 minutes, it will automatically go into standby mode. This is indicated by the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi LEDs turning off.
What steps do I need to take if the wireless connection is lost?
The connection between the probe and the range extender is always established automatically. If the Bluetooth LED does not light up continuously when the probe is charged, place the probe in the charging station and wait until the Bluetooth LED goes out, then remove it again and wait a few seconds. If the Bluetooth LED lights up continuously, the connection is established. The connection between the range extender and the app should ideally be restored automatically, but you may have to initiate the restoration manually.
What steps do I need to take if the app does not establish a connection to the range extender?
Make sure that the food thermometer is switched on and the Bluetooth LED on the range extender is permanently lit. Please check the Bluetooth settings on your mobile phone. Follow the instructions in the app to re-establish the connection. In the worst case, remove the food thermometer from the app under Settings and reconnect it.
